So as you guys know we had a little trouble with our snare stands tipping over last game in the stands, so heres a few things explaining how they should be set up tilting backward on purpose, to bring the weight over the stand. (The stand is tilted, the drum we work to get flat) Quote from Randal May, company of the stands STABILITY When set-up on a flat surface, the snare, tom and bell/xylophone stands are intentionally tilted back to bring the center of gravity over the base of the stand. This brings the instrument closer to the player and prevents the stand from tipping over. With the ATSTM technology, the same concept can be applied when used in bleachers. That's what I meant...
In actuality, I've never seen that, we just put them up straight at Eastern, hence why I had you guys do it the same way.
